I took Kailey to the Dr this morning because for the last week or so I have been really noticing popping & jerkiness in her knees. She is not in pain with it at all, but I wanted to get it checked out. Her Doctor (who she is scared of now for some reason) checked her range of motion in her knees and didn't feel the clicking. He asked if she is crawling and pulling herself up and trying to walk. He saw the way she is crawling (dragging her left leg and scooting her bum along) and was concerned as well as when I told him that she is not pulling herself up yet as the same leg is almost stuck underneath her. He sent her down for hip and knee x-rays. He is wondering if it is a hip issue because of the fact that she still has the fat roll in her groin & hip problems can carry down the leg affecting the knees. He also said that it could be weak ligaments. Basically I am waiting for a phone call if this needs immediate attention or he will discuss it further at her next appointment. At this stage (by 10 months actually) if they are not pulling themselves up they begin to investigate why. So I guess I wait and see. Two hours later...yuck. I had to wake her up in the middle of her nap to go so I was kind of holding my breath, but she woke up with giggles...phew.

Here is Kailey sporting what was supposed to be a modest jean dress. Due to her incredibly looong legs this is now a mini-skirt. Cute as heck though so I had to put her in it for most of the day. She is such a tomboy. She had her nylons on for a total of 15 minutes before she grabbed at them and made a ton of snags and holes. It was getting in her way when she was crawling so she yanked it up over her bum and wore it like a tube top.

Cool new outfit and Jack's B-day!!
Kailey still enjoys going for looong walks and it is even better if Jackie and Frasier (collie in the left picture) come along. She is really starting to join in and contribute her thoughts during our conversations. She also likes to help me walk Zoe. I can see her little hand reach out and grab the leash and she lets out a giggle every time. The odd time Zoe will sneak a kiss while we are walking. I am so happy I bought the snuggle bag in the picture. It is so easy to install on either stroller and it is great for keeping her legs and feet warm. It zips all the way up too, so when it gets cooler I can wrap her in a blanket and zip it to her chin.
Here are two of my suckballs that I had to include in this Blog or they would never let me live it down...hahahah. Yes, my hair is a different color...again.

Kailey loves talking to Nan.
K-Bear loves it when I let her listen to Nan (my Mom) talk to her on the phone so I thought I would take a picture of this. She just finished eating supper so disregard the messy face...hahaha.

Here is Kailey sporting the sweater & hat that her Nana made her that now fits perfectly. Very warm and snugly and I think she looks like a little doll in it. Thanks again!!! Whenever she is wearing a home made sweater or hat, at least one person asks where I got it from. It is nice to have an 'in' with a knitter....hahaha.

Kailey's play date.
We went over to April's this afternoon for a couple of hours so the kids could play. Connor is two weeks older than Kailey and both are really into playing so we thought this would be a blast. They had so much fun together and we had tons of fun watching the two of them interact. Kailey was in total excitement overload that included full body vibration and panting like a puppy...go figure.

They played so well together and wanted the same toy all the time. The sweetest thing happened....Kailey kissed Connor on the top of his head. It was adorable. Any time he was in her reach she would stoke his head and smile. This must have felt good to Connor because he rested his head on her lap and she took both her hands and grabbed his head and gave him a big ol' sloppy kiss on the top of his head. AWWWWWWWW.....sooooooo cute. The other funny thing was they started 'dancing' together to a really annoying song on Treehouse. One would start bobbing and the other would join. Tons of fun and I cannot wait to do this again. She was late for her nap so when we got home she had a bottle and crashed for 2 and a half hours.

Who is faster than the speed of light?!...K-bear
Yeah....little miss chicky poo has decided to kick things up a notch and crawl around the house all day in turbo. Nothing is safe. The dog water was all over her before I realized what she was up to, she was pulling the cable out from under the couch and love seat, she crawled in the bottom half of our credenza and knocked over the little trunks I have there...needless to say major baby proofing has begun. She is wild and appears to only have one speed - fast fast fast. The days of sitting nicely on her mat looking at toys are over I guess. She is so funny to watch. A couple of the dogs have found some good hiding spots when she is cruising around and Zoe thinks that it is cool to quickly lie down in her path so Kailey can practice crawling over things (Thanks for that Zoe)hahaha.

She rather cuddle under her blanket with a bottle so she is having more formula right now. She took a break from her racing around and sat on my lap all cuddled into a blanket for the better part of two hours this afternoon while I read everything I could find in arms reach - that is how I know she is not feeling up to speed. For the last two mornings she has gotten up too early (like 5-5:30am) and this is what I guess will happen with every tooth. It could be a lot worse I guess, but YIKES!!!

Some pictures :-)
This sweater set was made over 30 years ago by my Nan (Nana to Kailey) and I wore this. The booties fit her perfectly and the little sweater is so soft and cute on her.

This is pretty much as far from Kailey as Zoe likes to be. She is such a great dog and really helps out with keeping Kailey safe. I will put her in a down by the coffee table and she acts as a blocker. She loves Kailey sooooo much and I can really see these two being best friends for a long time.

This was taken yesterday at the Marina. It was a nice day so we took K and Parker for a walk and about 20 min into our walk it poured. We were soaked!!! Kailey was bone dry and enjoying some milk and puffs while looking at the scenery. When we got to the truck (after jogging back) she was ticked that her walk was cut short and proceeded to shove every last puff in her mouth...waste not want not...hahaha.
