Bath Time Fun!!!
She is getting better by the minute. She had a blast in the tub tonight and what made it even better for her was the new Tinker Bell towel Auntie Heather sent her. She was so thrilled. At first she was sad that the puppy towel wasn't waiting for her, but when she saw the Tinker towel she was overjoyed. This one will definitely be coming to California with us!! Thanks. :-)

She's on the mend..yahooooo!!!!
Kailey woke up after a 3 hour nap and the first thing out of her mouth was: "Kailey needs chicken balls!" Mom had flowers delivered for us and Kailey got her own rose-bowl and was she ever excited. She was so amazed that it was for her and for one hour straight she sat at the kitchen table oooo'ong and aww'ing and telling me all about it. She grabbed her Tinkerbell teapot and decided to water it over and over again. 'Oh pretty, oh Booootiful...it smells good!...Kailey can touch...Kailey watering...Kailey smelling...Kailey flowers...thank you Nan and Elmo'. Thanks Mom, we needed a pick me up.
Well, Kailey got her chicken balls once I could peel her away from her flowers. There was a massive line so I told her we can grab something else...'no, mommy, Kailey serious...chicken balls'. 20 minutes later we got our food. She ate the entire plate full including all her rice. She was such a gab at supper it was so cute. She needed to go potty so we went to the public restroom and I tapped into my freakish muscular strength to keep her tush from touching any part of that bowl...yuck. Thankfully she is a fast pee'er...phew. Then we went shopping. She is fascinated by garden gnomes and other resin critters...why? I have no idea. We were not coming home with another tacky statue so she picked something equally tacky, but at least it was a toy.Sick Kailey Bear :-(
I hate seeing my child so sick. I feel so helpless and alone. I think her medication is starting to kick in as she slept through the night and is currently having a long nap without being disturbed by coughing. When is rains it pours it seems. We had major snowfall on top of everything. I went out last night to shovel and the drifts were up to my waist!!! We were trapped in our driveway and due to the nature of her illness (Pneumonia) I have to be sure we can get to the Hospital if we need to. I bundled her up and started shoveling and was making zero headway and my asthma was kicking in due to me being sick as well. A good Samaritan (our neighbour across the street) saw me shoveling and saw poor Kailey standing watching me and he took care of my snow and this morning moved even more snow for me. I cannot begin to express my gratitude for his help. You just never know who is going to be there for you when you are at your lowest. There are still good people in this world and I only hope that I can pay it forward in some fashion in the future. I am literally alone here and it normally doesn't hit me like this. Normally Jack isn't gone back to back like this, normally we do not have record breaking snowfall, normally Kailey is not as sick as she is...All I can say is I am living for our vacation. I cannot help but think maybe there is a reason all this is happening. What is that reason??? God knows I have had strength tested already. Any ideas?
