Happy Birthday Jack/daddy

This was a very exciting day for Kailey. She woke Jack up this morning belting out the Birthday song. She was so excited to pick out his Monkey Birthday card, balloons and candles. ALL day she was asking about the Birthday cake and when that was going to happen. She had to wear a party dress for the occasion as well. :-)

We also picked up a crib and changing table today. We chose an espresso color so it can be for either a girl or boy. We have names picked out as well and a paint scheme if it is a girl. So excited that Jack is able to pretty well create anything we dream up. I love Kailey's room so much and I was pretty pumped to find something similar (chair rail) but still very unique. YAY.

On a less than positive note, I am not having the best of times sleeping right now (read that as 2-3 hours/night) and that adds to my already less than perky demeanor. Not that I am uncomfortable really, but I toss and turn and cannot turn my brain off. This is an awesome pregnancy with respect to no bed rest or spotting, but there are massive challenges in other respects. I am sooooo drained and sometimes so annoyed/emotional I don't even recognize myself.

couple new additions

New flooring in the bathroom and Jack's downstairs room. Next up...laundry room. It is actually the same flooring for both, just poor lighting downstairs.
Also, a new TV...aren't hormones a wonderful thing? I actually went looking for appliances and came home with that instead. I got a steal of a deal since they priced it wrong. I saved $498.00!! Needless to say, I got NO complaints from Jack.

These dance moves must come from her Daddy...

Another great day on the water.

Captain Kailey Bear

Pelican Rock.

My fish I named Oliver. He swam away just fine...phew, I would have felt awful if I killed it.

This is the life Kailey is saying.

I cannot believe it has taken me 11 years of living here to truly take advantage of what this place has to offer. I cannot believe we are literally minutes from this fun activity. Kailey was so excited to go out again that she wolfed down her breakfast and ran the entire path to the boat launch....sporting shades and lip smackers of course. I caught my first fish and the funny thing was that I was only holding Jack's rod for him. I didn't even know I had something at first. I was so excited and was jumping around like a child. I had to get a picture of me holding it. I tell ya, they are slimy, stinky and very ugly when you are that close to them. They also have some sharp parts that I found by the gills. We also went to Pelican rock and that was amazing to see. It really feels like you are somewhere other than Alberta seeing these massive birds. Kailey is such an outdoorsy kid it is so much fun taking her out. Thank you Brad for inviting us!!!

Dr. appointment

I had another Dr. appointment this morning and all is well. Heart rate is in the 160's and the baby is very active. Fundal height is right on the mark. My blood pressure is 115/80. So basically very text book. He got everything he needed from the ultrasound and found it kind of funny that the baby was 'being shy'. In my heart of hearts I know this one is a girl, but am looking forward to being surprised on the big day.
