Boating for the K

First moments - a little cautious.
The huge 'Jack' Brad caught.

Getting ready to leave. Really didn't want this life jacket, but it was the only one in town her size. She didn't mind though.

Thumbs up - she's a pro now.

All smiles.

What a fabulous morning/afternoon. We met our friends Brad and Mac and we all went fishing. I wasn't sure how Kailey would react to the boat, but she took to it like a pro. She was all smiles and giggles and we had to trick her into leaving or she would still be on the water. We met them at 10:30am and just got back - around 2pm. I packed us a lunch and she thought that was the absolute coolest thing ever; eating while floating. She even tried to fish. This gal is definitely an outdoorsy type that is for sure. I would say a boat is in our future that's for sure. What a gorgeous lake and it is amazing what you see on the other side of all the beach houses...wow. We saw a ton of Pelicans too. THE LAKE IS HUGE...HUGE!!!

21st Week of Pregnancy: You're Halfway There!

Congratulations, you've entered the second half of pregnancy. Your fetus is nearly 11 ounces and a hiccupping fool!

Blue/Pink...yellow it is!

The ultrasound today in Meadow Lake was a colossal disappointment. I really didn't care that much about finding out the sex of the baby, more I wanted to just see that everything was where it should be and such. This was the most pathetic ultrasound I have ever had (and I have had a ton of them in the last three or so years). I could not make out a thing and the Dr. was CLUELESS on this new machine so maybe it could have been better with a technician trained on this gear...who knows. I will see what my Dr. thinks about the images and maybe he will send me again as he never got a good shot of the heart. Literally I could not make out a thing...maybe the spine. The baby was facing in so that wasn't really helpful either, but man, this was pathetic. :-(

Pirate ship is always a hit. Great decor piece. :-)

Yeah, that's right...I am a cool cool Pirate. 'argh'

Quick Robbie steer us out of here!!!!

I am so very very behind in my posts, but we have had a very busy month so far. Airshow then Robbie's 3rd Birthday party, a visit with Dad(Gido) and my Baba and Gido. Then Char, Ron and Julie came camping and Mom came out too. And this weekend Colin (my brother) and his wife Heather and my very sweet nephew Robbie and Niece Lana came out to visit. Every visit was so wonderful and Kailey was totally in her glory seeing everyone. She asked me tonight who is coming tomorrow...wow, is she ever going to be disappointed as we have nothing planned until her Birthday party in October. I have some pictures from this weekend that I have to share, and as soon as I get some from other peoples cameras from the other visits I will be sure to post them too. Lately I have been forgetting my camera or has been loaded with dead batteries....grrrr.
HAD TO SHARE THIS TYPICAL SEQUENCE OF EVENTS!!!!

Step 1: You are mimicking my facial expressions and looking at me...could this be an invitation?

Step 2: Oh you want some Zoe action do you?...lemme jump on your lap then.

Step 3: Oh crap the master humans were watching...soooorrrryyy.

Another Dr. Appointment

Today went well. Blood Pressure is normal, I am up one pound, baby's heart beat is 155 (totally girl) and I have my next ultrasound August 26th at Meadow lake Hospital in Saskatchewan. When I came to Edmonton for my ultrasound in June they were supposed to book my 20 week scan before I left and they didn't and I had no idea the requisition was for both...grrrrr. I called them and the earliest they could get me in was October sometime and I would be 28 weeks or so. I got the number to another place and they could get me in ASAP...so I get to tour Saskatchewan at the end of the month. I guess it takes about 2 hours from here to get there so it is less time than coming to Edmonton.

Air Show

This was our table...best seats in the house...first row...that was lucky.
Kailey pointing out something in the sky...lol.

Avro Lancaster - the last 'flyable' one. Sooo cool to see.

What a great...fabulous...awesome time today. We all were wondering how the city was going to pull off an event this huge at the lake versus the base. I have to say seeing the aerobatics over the water was nothing shy of amazing, I didn't miss the take offs or the static displays like I thought I would. We had a few VIP passes thanks to Cubic sponsorship. They put the VIPs in the MD park down by the water. Catering, a live band, tents, free alcohol (obviously didn't matter to me) and tents set up for shade was a perfect combo. :-) Kailey was thrilled from the shuttle ride to the grounds to the enormous amount of food and juice at her disposal. She is having a blast with Nan and Grandpa (actually has become Grandpas cling-on). I have honestly never seen her pack away so much food. She didn't even flinch when the fast jets were over head...you can tell this is a way of life for her living in Cold Lake. She was 2 and a half hours past her nap and she didn't notice. So cute seeing her clapping for the acts. She really liked the little civilian stunt acts...she was all over the yellow jelly belly 1946 'Taylorcraft'. We missed the snowbirds though so I am hoping to catch that show tomorrow along with team rocket.
