HOBO SONG

Kailey was belting out another 'song' similar to the 'Bridgey song' depicted in the video below. It was very 'special' and her head was back and eyes were shut. I asked her what kind of song that was thinking she would say something like a 'Zoe song'. She told me it was a 'Hobo song'. I have never taught her that word so I was stumped. She slowed it down for me after a few times and I finally got it, she was trying to say it was a 'horrible song'. hahahaha

Mamma Mia Jackie?!

Auntie Heather & Piggy Paint

http://www.piggypaint.com/

Kailey loves her 'Piggy Paint' she got from her Auntie and Uncle for Easter. It is a great product!! Thanks so much. She wore the clear (more discrete) color and told me that it was 'boring' and she wanted 'bright one'...hahaha. Pair those fab. toes with a pair of Princess high heels and 5 necklaces and she is ready for a night out...hahaha.

Kailey singing - 'the bridgey song'...yikes

This is a new development...singing. She loves belting out tunes (a big yikes on this one), but she shocked me tonight when I asked her to sing 'twinkle twinkle', she knows it and I didn't think she did. I will have to record that one. It is very sweet sounding...the bridgey song is, well, hilarious.

Happy Reunion - Kailey and her Bridget

The Final Days...

Here are some final pictures from our marvelous trip to Anaheim. Kailey had her first Easter egg hunt in Grandma and Grandpa's gorgeous back yard. There were approx 30 people that came for lunch and Kailey got to meet a whole bunch of new family. She loved looking for eggs with Daddy and Grandma and loved splashing around in the pool with her Uncle Ryan. This good-bye really was hard on everyone. Kailey is so very lucky to have so many people that love her...it is overwhelming really. She asks for Grandma Joy and I am going to make her a scrapbook of our trip so she can remember all those special moments and cuddles. It is really hard to be back and not just beacause of the obvious beauty of the ocean and surrounding area and fun Disneyland offers, but the people we had to say good-bye to and how connected we were as a family without all the stresses of 'regular' life. This just showed me how important taking time to literally 'smell the roses' is and we will be making more of an effort to get away sooner rather than later.

arrrrrrgggghhhh.....

Gotta love these ears and considering Pirates was her favorite ride these personalized bad-boys were more than appropriate. We still have an early entry pass so we may be headed to the park tomorrow morning before the Easter festivities begin. Jacks parents are setting miss K up with an Easter egg hunt and some egg coloring. She will love that.

Pirate Kailey seeing Mickey for the last time.

At Nana Shirley's and Grandpa Coy's house for dinner. She was an angel and the very formal dinner (phew) and acted like she grew up there. So comfortable and loved Nana Shirley. The guys on this trip seem to be taking a backseat to the ladies...sorry Grandpa Phil and Grandpa Coy. hahaha.

Another visit to Pixie Hollow and this time she got to meet Silvermist. She asked them both where fawn was though. Clearly she has her mind made up that Fawn is the ultimate fairy.

Uncle Ryan and Downtown Disney

Kailey busy picking out creepy crawlers from the rainforest cafe for cousin Robbie.

Uncle Ryan, Karen, Grandma and Daddy

We had a blast yesterday. Uncle Ryan and his girlfriend joined us in Disneyland. We watched the fireworks from main street, and they were amazing. She loved the Haunted Mansion...she was saying, 'Hi Ghosts...you having a good time?' hahaha. Today we spent the morning in Downtown Disney and went for lunch at the rain forest cafe. We had the best seats - right by the massive ape that goes off every 15 minutes. She is certainly fearless and that makes this vacation so much more fun. She loves the thrill of going fast and being startled. Tomorrow is a full day of Disney and we are hitting the Princess show for sure and Mickey Mouse clubhouse. She wanted to do Muppet's again too. She has developed a huge thing for Buzz light year for some reason. I think the funniest thing she says is : 'there's something going on here'. That phrase never gets old. I took her on the rockets and she was hilarious. She was either laughing or yelling whooo-hooo the entire time. We are giving her a day of relaxation so we don't overdue it. SOOOO much to take in and it wears her out (me too).

'hi guy, you having a good time?' she thought he was real.

Ocean Girl

Newport beach

Today we took Kailey to Newport Beach and to see her Great Grandparents she has never met; Nana Shirley and Grandpa Coy in Anaheim Hills. She was super excited at both locations. She loved the beach and spent a ton of time collecting shells. We then went to the famous Crab Cooker and she ate a ton of smoked Albacore, calamari and various other things I didn't think she would eat. She loved every part of today and so did we. Tomorrow is another full day at Disneyland and California Adventures. Jack's brother should be in tonight so she can re-connect with Uncle Ryan and his new girlfriend. Yesterday she spent the day with Grandma and Grandpa while Jack and I headed over to Disneyland to catch all the adult rides and do some shopping. We went to the rain forest cafe and had some drinks and a massive dessert...yummmm. Kailey was very happy to have some down time and lots of cuddles. She raided grandmas flowers...again, went out for supper, met some ducks at the park and met her great grandma Marilyn. She is feeling much better and my cold is almost gone too.

playing in the waterpark in California Adventures

Fireworks!!!!

She got to see the fireworks tonight in the park. Last night they started to go off and we were in bed and she says to me. 'Mommy, do you hear that?' (we can see most of the fireworks from our room). Jack held her up to the window and she was hilarious...she kept saying, 'There's something going on Daddy...oh Mommy look it....I hear some kids....there's something going on out there." HAHAHAHA.

By far her favorite ride is the Pirates of the Caribbean. She is hilarious on it. I thought for sure she would be freaked by the drops and the splashes of water...nope...she just says, 'more' and do it again. She loves riding the 'horses' so we did that twice today. We saw the Muppets 3D (she was so cute with her 3D glasses on and she wore them the entire time) and the Monsters Inc. ride. There is also a cushioned play area with water so she was thrilled with that. It is so overwhelming with what there is to do it is hard to sum up.

She got some quality time with Grandma Joy today and got to pick more roses (yikes - she will have her bushes cleared out at the end of this trip). Wednesday we are taking her to the ocean for the first time and to the long beach aquarium, she is going to be so excited with all the touch ponds (sea critters she can actually touch).

Well, I am more than pooped so I am signing off.

Kailey seeing Grandma & Grandpa all dolled up.

Kailey meeting Dessa

Kailey meets Mickey Mouse.

Camera malfunction at the beginning, but the best part is captured. That was an amazing moment...another one. She loved the Haunted Mansion, Buzz Lightyear and the Casey Jr. ride. She wanted to do the carosel again this evening so we did that too.

She was at a loss for words...that's a first. ;-)

Last, but not least...

Kailey is feeling much better. She is sitting for her nebulizer treatments like a champ and her coughing is really only nasty at night before she goes to bed now. I was worried that all the excitement might cause her grief, but thankfully she did awesome this morning. She is taking a nap right now so she will be good to go for a night of parades and fireworks...and more fairies I imagine. hahaha. I am also wondering if the dry warm California air is maybe helping...I know my sense of ha ha is much better here. I only have one free day of internet so this may be the last post until we get back...who wants to be sitting in front of a computer anyway.

Kailey meets her Hero..FAWN

You may not be able to see it, but she was vibrating she was so excited. This will forever be one of the highs in my life.

Disneyland - Day one

No time to write anything, but here are some pictures of our first entry into Disneyland. She was so cute and wasn't scared of a thing. Pirates so far is her favorite. We love the room, she was awesome on the plane and loved seeing Grandma Joy...they have roses everywhere so Kailey is in her glory.
