Jumperoo = A HIT !!!!

Well, safe to say this is a hit!!  Kailey loved it and it looks like Ella is following in her big sister's footsteps.  She is soooo much shorter than Kailey so it is funny to watch.  I just cannot believe she is already playing with this - she is growing so fast. A video is coming.  It is so awesome that these cool items are being used again.  Ella loves the chair that vibrates that Gido and Grandma got Kailey and now the Jumperoo from Nan and Grandpa is getting a work out again, not to mention ALL the clothes.

Ella's 3 mth appointment

She is healthy that is for sure!
forgot all the number as soon as I left the office.
All I know she is in the 92nd percentile for weight, 47th for height and 45th for head.  She is chubby! :-) Next appointment is April 4th for her shots.

Kailey took great pride in bathing her sister tonight.  The entire time she was talking so sweetly to her...'Here baby we need to wash the stink off of you'. lol.  'Sorry it is cold sweetie Ella'.  Ella soaked this up and smiled the entire time.  Poor Kailey put so much pressure leaning over she was gasping and heaving at time.  I tried to get her to stop but she said she was ok and kept on washing. This will be a nightly routine I am thinking.  Both girls have been in bed for an hour.  Here's hoping for another wonderful night.

Ella's room - not finished

Ella's room is almost finished!  I still have a couple of things to finish - curtains of some sort, better baskets for the change table and a couple of pictures for the walls.  What a change from the Navy blue this room was before.  Jack painted this in no time...thanks babe.  You cannot tell, but the flowers above the change table are paper so it gives a cool 3D effect.  So, I thought I would try Ella out last night in her crib for the first time.  I figured it would be a huge struggle getting her to sleep and she would likely be up for most of the night.  Up until this point she has either been in the Bassinet or, as of late, sleeping next to me.  She fell asleep in my arms around 8:30 so I put her in the crib and Kailey flipped the light on and was talking 90 Mph so I figured I would just let her wake up in there while I put Kailey to bed...nope...she stayed sleeping until 5am!!!!!  8.5 hours.  I was so shocked and so were my feeders...yowza.  She ate and I changed her diaper and I assumed she was going to be up for the day, but she was getting cranky so I layed her in the crib awake around 6am and she is still sleeping at 9:20...wow.  So I guess it was me who needed her next to me more than her needing me :-(.  I was up a ton in the night as it felt like I was missing a part of me not having her close.  I was probably keeping her awake or responding to every change in breathing pattern when I shouldn't have been.  I am thrilled she is getting a better sleep, but sad that she is growing up so fast as of late.

Not sure I would have paired these boots with this summer dress, but Kailey was feeling very proud of herself so who can fault that?  Jack calls these shoes her wrestling boots.

Ella is growing up way too fast now.  Bumbo, this sleeper and now sleeping in her own room in her crib...more on that later.

now this is a good invention...it is just a frame for the bucket seat...soooo much lighter than the full stroller...I love it.  I was so excited to take it for a spin, but we had major rain/snow/sleet today so we had to burn around the house.  As you can see by the smiles she likes it. :-)

This must be a record for me....it has been more than busy around here with Kailey being sick with a double ear infection, then Ella catching Kailey's cold, Dad and Diane coming this past weekend for a visit and then painting Ella's room...phew.

kailey's new tent...complete w/ sleeping bag, flashlight, water bottle, headband & backpack.  I can honestly say I have never seen her this excited in a looooong time.  Just in time to make her feel better as she is sick. :-(

2 mth check up/shots

What a little trooper Ella was.  Of course she cried when they put the needles in, but she was easily soothed with nursing and ate like it was her last meal then burped and smiled away...hahaha.  Her stats:

weight: 11 lbs 9 oz
Height: 22"

She is in the 75th percentile for weight and 50th for height...my little pudge muffin.  She is thriving.  Her head is perfect at the back, but I have to switch ends with her when she is sleeping as one side is a little lopsided...who knew a perfectly round head is a hard thing to come by.  Kailey was super flat at the back and Ella is flat on one side.

After our walk outside...she slept for 3 hours.  I love the Bjorn carrier - it is so easy to transfer them from it to bed, plus it is very easy on my back compared to the one I had for Kailey.  I am going to love walking over to Timmy's for tea with my girls this summer - I love this area. 

Marley Dog's Memorial.  I put it on the corner of the master bedroom dresser by the window he loved to lay under.  I still cannot bring myself to fold up his blanket.  I miss the marls so much.
