someone is still feeling under the weather as she zonked out during lunch....

decided to make a cake for her even though we are celebrating her Birthday in a couple of weeks. Also wanted to try this out....cupcake cake - easy to serve. Not sure what we are going to do with 24 cupcakes mind you...hahahaha.

just had to share this one...she is so close to walking and she is pushing this chair around the kitchen which is pretty funny if you are not a dog.

-She also has a new tooth - a bottom one on the other side of her only center one...strange she wouldn't cut the other one in the middle first. So she has three on the top and 2 on the bottom.

My baby girl where did this year go? I am having a difficult time trying to find the perfect words to describe how much you have brought to my life. You are simply sunshine and love. The moment I looked into your big brown eyes I fell so in love and I felt as though a light was turned on deep inside me. You have been such a sweet and content baby and seeing your little personality develop has been pure joy. Your husky little voice is so unique and that amazing smile of yours is contagious. I love how you can still fall asleep on my chest and snuggle. I also adore how you admire your big sister and follow her around. I know you cannot read this, but I just wanted to let you know you are such a gift and I love you more than words. Thank you for a wonderful year! xoxoxoxox

X'mas is hard on hounds too

Christmas in Edmonton

Kailey and I were able to come to Edmonton for a quick visit (December 18) as we hitched a ride with Brad and Cheryl. It was a very fun filled 24 hours. :-) We went to Robbie's Hockey practice where Lana and Kailey hung out together - those 2 are going to be tight for sure, both so into girly stuff. The funniest thing ever was when Robbie spotted me and I could see him say, "hi Auntie Shari' through his helmet...hahaha. He hit the boards a few times coming over for a quick hello through the glass. Uncle Colin took Kailey over to the players box to get an up close view of the skaters...she thought she was super special. :-) We went to Londonderry after lunch at Red Robins to watch Robbie Bear do some TWD and then the real magic began when we got back to the house and the kids got to open their gifts. Nan, Grandpa Denis and Nana were there so it was really like a mini-Christmas for us. :-) Some more stories about that great visit, including a story of Curly/my Sheltered daughter's big adventure to a mall with more than one level...hahaha to follow.
